Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant for a Secondary SEN school in Maidenhead. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEMH needs and help them build confidence, resilience and regulation while collaborating with teachers.

Ideal candidates are psychology graduates who want practical experience before pursuing psychology, education, therapy or related fields. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, start ASAP, with pay in the £93–£110 per day

Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

A Secondary SEMH School in Maidenhead is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, Counsellors, or Teachers who want to build valuable, hands‑on experience working with young people who may experience emotional, behavioural and mental health challenges.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
• Help students develop confidence, emotional regulation, resilience and independence.
• Support students in managing challenging emotions and behaviours in a positive and constructive way.
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

We're looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant who is:
