Aspire People is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded primary school in Worsley (M28). We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff to support a pupil with SEMH needs in accessing learning and achieving positive outcomes. This role requires patience, empathy, and a calm, consistent approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to SEMH needs
Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and follow behaviour support strategies
Support teaching and learning in the classroom
Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Support social and emotional development through positive relationship-building
Monitor progress and report to teaching and SEN staff
Assist with personal care needs if required
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN/SEMH in a school or specialist setting
Good understanding of SEMH and strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial but not essential
