Job summary

SABDEN Multi Academy Trust is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support pupils across Cuckmere House School, a SEMH special school and autism provision.

The role involves supporting curriculum delivery, preparing resources, managing pupils with complex needs, and contributing to tutor-team activities. DBS check required; experience with vulnerable young people welcome but not essential. Term-time only, 30 hours per week, hours to be agreed at interview.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering the curriculum.
• Work directly with pupils.
• Prepare classroom resources.
• Manage pupils with a range of complex needs in the classroom and outdoors.
• Model expected behaviour and act as a role model for pupils.
• Support pupils to learn inside and outside the classroom as part of a tutor team.
• Motivate pupils to want to learn new skills.
• Follow school structure, policies and procedures with consistency.
• Reflect on own practice to improve pupil outcomes.
