Aspire People is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND/SEMH at a Hull area school. You don't need to be a qualified teacher, but patience and empathy are essential.

The role offers day-to-day, term-time only opportunities with daily rates of 95-110 GBP, providing flexible work and the chance to gain classroom experience.

You will work with a dedicated team to support students inside and outside the classroom, helping them access learning and develop confidence.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or challenging behaviour is highly desirable
  • A caring, patient and empathetic approach
  • Confidence supporting students on a one-to-one or small-group basis
  • Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
  • The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations
  • A reliable and professional approach
  • A genuine commitment to supporting young people
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
  • Experience within a UK school or education setting is highly desirable.

We're working in partnership with a specialist SEND/SEMH school to recruit confident, caring and resilient Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with children or young people who wants to build their career in special educational needs and mental health support.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The school provides specialist education and support for children and young people with a range of SEND and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

It offers a structured, supportive and nurturing environment designed to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and achieve their potential.

You'll be working as part of a dedicated team of teachers and support staff, helping pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
