Teach Northamptonshire is seeking a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to support vulnerable children in maintaining their education. This role involves working with a diverse group of students and participating in an outreach program aimed at helping those at risk of exclusion. Strong commitment and adaptability are essential for success in this position.
We are currently a school which is graded as ‘Good’. We are a two form entry primary school with a Nursery and a Unit Provision for Autism. We are a friendly and forward looking school. We serve a mixed area, serving children with varying levels of needs, and you should be ready to accept the children for who they are and be prepared to commit to being the best that you can for them.
We have a small SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) outreach provision for children at risk of exclusion in the primary and secondary age range, on behalf of the local authority. We are based in schools in West Northants with an office base at Kingsthorpe Grove Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something great in a provision which supports vulnerable children to remain in education. The outreach supports children on a part-time basis until such time as they are successful in their home school. Visits to the school are strongly recommended to discuss further the role, so please contact Mrs Roberts on (01604) 714674 or email hradmin@kingsthorpegrove.northants.sch.uk
