Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You’ll assist learning activities, help raise self-esteem and progress, and work in a well-resourced school environment with supportive colleagues and therapists.

The role offers induction and on-the-job training, with school holidays and a strong progression path within the group.

Qualifications

• Can-do attitude and team-based mindset are valued.
• Experience in a classroom setting is preferred but training is provided.
• Enthusiasm for supporting children with SEND to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with Autism, SEMH needs in learning activities.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work closely with teachers and therapists to raise pupils’ self-esteem and progression.
