SEMH Teaching Assistant

A fulfilling SEMH Teaching Assistant role for future psychologists, therapists, counsellors, and SEMHCOs has become available to provide invaluable experience for future careers.

A highly-regarded primary school/tuition centre in Chippenham is searching for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to be employed on an immediate and long-term basis. The SEMH child has an educational, health and care plan (EHCP) that details specific targets, outcomes, and strategies for the child. The role demands a dedicated and caring individual who will be patient and take time to understand the specific needs of the SEMH child. The school is looking for someone charismatic, empathetic, and genuinely motivated to make a positive impact on children with SEMH. Previous experience working with children with Autism is desirable.

This is a tremendous opportunity to gain experience within the Special Needs and Mental Health sector, working alongside speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, occupational therapists, and teachers with SEMH specialisms.
