SEMH Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision

Location: Manchester

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Start Date: ASAP

Are you an experienced, or aspiring SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role in a supportive alternative provision?

We are working closely with a number of fantastic alternative provision's across Manchester who are seeking passionate and reliable SEMH Teaching Assistant, to support pupils who are struggling with their SEMH and with challenging behaviour.

Your Role Will Involve:
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering inclusive learning
  • Helping manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Providing personal care support where required
  • Creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with young people with SEND/SEMH and challenging behaviour - essential
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - or be willing to apply for one (we can assist with the process or cover the cost)
