Job summary

Engage Education is seeking SEMH Teaching Assistants for a long-term role in the Hillingdon area. You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, adapting materials to meet diverse SEMH needs, while collaborating with teachers and therapists to monitor progress and celebrate achievements.

The role requires empathy, patience and strong communication. Previous SEMH experience is advantageous, with a proactive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalised Support: 1:1 and small-group support with students, adapting materials and strategies.
• Enhance Learning Experiences: assist teachers with SEMH-tailored lessons.
• Foster Positive Behaviours: implement behaviour management techniques and social skills development.
• Collaborate with Staff: work with teachers, therapists and support staff to monitor progress and celebrate achievements.
