Job summary

Engage Education is seeking SEMH Teaching Assistants to support students with SEMH needs at a school in the Hillingdon borough. The role is long-term with daily hours from 08:30 to 15:45.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, adapting lessons and strategies to meet diverse needs, support behavioural development, and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff. DBS required.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for working with children who have SEMH needs.
• Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in a special needs setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support, adapting materials to SEMH needs.
• Assist in delivering engaging lessons tailored for SEMH support.
• Implement behaviour management techniques to support positive behaviours.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to monitor progress.
