We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and patient individual with excellent communication and behaviour management skills.

Teacher Active is working with a wonderful Alternative Learning Provision in Swindon, supporting their recruitment for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The setting serves vulnerable young people who have exited mainstream education, focusing on successful reintegration and a smooth transition to post-16 education. The role involves delivering high standards of education within a flexible environment, emphasizing social, emotional, physical, and mental health-centred programmes to help students thrive.

Responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Assist with social, emotional, and behavioural support.
• Promote positive behaviour and create a nurturing environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience and/or understanding of supporting vulnerable young people.
• Experience and/or understanding of working with students with SEMH and challenging behaviours.
• Level 2 or 3 CACHE qualification or equivalent is an asset.
