Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEMH setting in the Bromley/Orpington area. You will support pupils aged 5-16, helping them regulate emotions and engage with learning, while assisting teachers in and out of class.

This full-time role requires travel to Orpington and is ideal for someone with SEMH experience who can start immediately and support pupils who may display challenging behaviour.

Qualifications

• Experience in school-based SEMH settings is preferred.
• Ability to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Experience working with pupils aged 5–16 and managing challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 5–16 in a specialist SEMH setting.
• Help pupils regulate emotions and engage with learning.
• Work closely with teachers in and out of class to manage behaviour.

SEMH Teaching Assistant - Orpington, Bromley - SEN School - £90-£110 a day (depending on experience) - Full Time - Immediate Start

• SEMH Teaching Assistant with previous school based or SEMH experience
• SEMH Teaching Assistant who can travel to Orpington, Bromley

We are seeking a resilient, patient and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5-16 within a specialist SEMH setting in the Bromley/Orpington area. You will work closely with teachers both in and out of class, helping pupils regulate their emotions, manage behaviour and engage positively with their learning.

This SEMH school is based in the borough of Bromley and caters for students that have an EHCP for social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and over 70% of students also have a diagnosis of Autism. Many pupils may have experienced barriers to education and require a consistent, nurturing and structured approach to learning.
