SEMH Teaching Assistant - Bletchley- SEMH Teaching Assistant

Full-Time | Immediate Start | £90-£120 per day

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Northampton, working with children and young people who face social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will be to help students overcome barriers to learning by supporting their emotional regulation and promoting positive engagement in the classroom.

What you'll be doing:

Providing one-to-one and group support for students with SEMH needs

Supporting students with emotional regulation techniques and self-soothing strategies

Assisting with personal care if required

Creating a calm and safe environment to help students thrive academically and emotionally

Working closely with teachers and safeguarding leads to support vulnerable learners

Promoting inclusion and helping young people build positive relationships

What we're looking for:

Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (formal or informal)

A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach

An understanding of safeguarding practices

A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children

Someone looking to develop a career in education, therapy, youth work, or similar fields

Role Details:

Location: Northampton

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Pay: £85 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP (subject to compliance checks)

Contract: Long-term, with the opportunity for a permanent role
