Qualifications

  • Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in education is desirable.
  • Team Teach qualification is essential.

Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Rate of pay: £425 - £550 - Dependant on experience

Location: Solihull - B93

About the role

Connex Education is seeking a proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment. This role provides the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will offer 1-1 support, helping students develop academically and socially, while also serving as a positive role model. Your contribution will be key in nurturing their growth and empowering them to achieve their full potential. As a vital part of the team, you’ll help create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports every student's journey.

Our school is a supportive environment dedicated to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We cater to children aged 5-11 who may have complex conditions such as ASC, ADHD, and Attachment Disorder. Our focus is on personal growth, resilience, and positive social inclusion, fostering self-confidence and helping students develop essential life skills. Role Requirements
  • Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or Equivalent Level 3 UK Educational qualification is required.
  • Previous experience working in Education is desirable.
  • Team Teach Qualification is essential.
  • A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom.
  • An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
