Location: Huyton (L36)
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (potential for permanent)
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Description
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Assist teachers in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote emotional well-being.
  • Build positive relationships to boost pupils’ confidence and independence.
  • Support learning and pastoral care in collaboration with teaching staff.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (school-based or transferable).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Empathetic, patient, and resilient approach to supporting pupils.
