Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant

Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Simply Education is delighted to be recruiting a teaching assistant in the Grantham area. We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a team, supporting students in a dynamic and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with classroom activities and educational programs.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Managing and supporting challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience working in SEMH, SEN, or a similar educational setting.
  • A high level of resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting and inspiring young people.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in an educational or care setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH and related behavioural strategies.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
