Teaching Assistant – Specialist Independent School
Dibden, Southampton | Full-Time, Term Time Only | £13.75 per hour |

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist independent school in Dibden, supporting pupils aged 8–16 with complex needs, including SEMH, communication and interaction difficulties, and challenging behaviour.

You will work closely with teaching staff and therapists to deliver personalised support, helping pupils to engage in learning, manage behaviour positively, and build confidence and independence.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support

  • Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment

  • Assist with implementing individual education and behaviour plans

  • Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs

  • Experience in SEN/SEMH settings is an advantage (not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
