SEMH Teaching Assistant - Full-Time - Christchurch

Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We have a fantastic full-time opportunity for a SEMH Teaching Assistant in Christchurch, working with students aged 5 to 12. In this role, you will provide vital support to children with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to overcome challenges and unlock their full potential.

Your Role as a SEMH Teaching Assistant

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a dedicated team to provide tailored support to children in both individual and small group settings. Your main responsibility will be assisting students in accessing the curriculum, helping them develop essential skills, and providing guidance in managing their emotional and social development.

Your working hours will be from 8:45am to 3:30pm, ensuring a structured yet fulfilling daily routine. You will collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement personalised learning strategies and provide the support necessary for students to succeed academically and socially.
