Job description

GSL Education is currently seeking Teaching Assistants for a Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) school based in Basingstoke. This specialist school caters to pupils aged 11-16 who face challenges in social interactions and emotional regulation, many with diagnoses or traits of an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Ideal Candidate:
  1. Relevant experience with learning difficulties and complex needs
  2. Positive, resilient, and engaging personality
  3. Ability to provide 1-1 support or assist in small group activities
  4. Patience and understanding in challenging settings
  5. Knowledge of PECS or Makaton (advantageous)
