Qualifications

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or relevant SEN background.
  • Training in PECS and Makaton is preferred.
  • Familiar with SEMH and SEBD needs.

Location: Erdington

Duration: Full time, on going

Salary: £160 – £240 per day

Im working with a fantastic PRU in Erdington seeking passionate SEMH Teachers. The centre supports students aged 11-16 with challenging behaviour, offering high-quality, personalised teaching. This full-time role runs until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons focused on mental health, social-emotional skills, and overall wellbeing.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where pupils can thrive.
  • Recognise and address the social, emotional, and mental health needs of pupils.
  • Work closely with counsellors, parents, and staff to provide tailored support.
  • Assess pupils progress through activities, discussions, and feedback.
