Job Role: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sutton, London
Contract: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
Salary: Paid to scale

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified SEMH Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive team at a specialist provision in Sutton, London. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, for a passionate educator who thrives on making a real difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with SEMH
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
  • Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to behaviour management
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff
  • Track and assess student progress, maintaining clear records and reports
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) – Essential
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs
  • Strong knowledge of strategies for supporting emotional and behavioural development
  • Calm, consistent, and empathetic approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS (on the update service) or willingness to obtain one
