Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking SEMH Behaviour & Mental Health Support Workers in Corby to support students within specialist schools. You will work one-to-one or in small groups to help students manage emotions, behaviour and engagement with learning.

The role involves supporting students with SEMH needs, trauma-related behaviours and autism/ADHD, collaborating with teachers and safeguarding practices. Multiple vacancies are available in Corby and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting individuals with SEMH or mental health needs.
• Experience with behavioural support strategies and crisis de-escalation.
• Ability to build trust with students and support engagement in education.
• Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to SEMH students.
• Support students dealing with anxiety and trauma-related difficulties.
• Implement individual behaviour support plans with teachers and pastoral staff.
• Help students access classroom learning and participate in activities.
• Maintain safeguarding and promote welfare of young people.
