Job description

Justteachers is seeking an SEMH Support Worker to join a vibrant specialist school in the Harrogate area to cover on a full-time basis. The post is due to start in April with shortlisting currently taking place.

This specialist school is committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to develop confidence and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individual learning and behaviour plans
  • Supporting students in managing emotions and developing positive coping strategies

  • Relevant qualifications in education, support work, or a related field
  • Proven experience supporting students with SEMH needs
  • Strong knowledge of behavior management strategies and emotional support techniques
  • Two education or school-based references
