Job summary

Pertemps Education Network is seeking a Pastoral & Learning Support Assistant / Aspiring Clinical Psychologist to join a small specialist school near Slough. You will build relationships with students, support SEMH and learning, and work with teachers and therapists to deliver restorative, trauma-informed interventions.

This role offers term-time hours from 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must have strong people skills and a calm, patient approach.
• Experience or interest in SEMH support and restorative approaches is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with students who are disengaged or at risk of exclusion.
• Support students’ social, emotional, and mental health development.
• Encourage engagement, confidence, and resilience in learning.
• Work with teachers and therapists to deliver SEMH-focused support.
