Are you an ambitious, empathetic, and visionary educator who believes there is no barrier to education that cannot be overcome? Are you ready to step into a high-impact leadership role where you can truly re-engage young people with their learning, transform life chances, and champion educational equity?
We are looking for an exceptional SEMH SRB Pastoral and SEND Manager to take on a key senior leadership role within our Specialist Resource Base (SRB), focussing on KS3 provision in this foundation stage.
Reporting directly to the SRB Lead Teacher, you will drive operational success, lead pastoral care and SEND interventions, and empower our dedicated team of Teaching Assistants.
At Sewell Park Academy, we strive to 'enrich minds and enable success' for the students that we serve. Our mission is to ensure that our students leave with the qualifications needed to succeed in their next stages of their lives, but also be healthy, safe and be able to develop strong relationships. We have built a culture where staff want to stay and students want to come. So much so that 100% of staff said that 'our school has a culture of learning: students are ready, willing and able to learn' and we have had a turnover rate for teaching staff of just 2% in the last three years. We have been over-subscribed for each of the last 5 years.
We are seeking an approachable, trauma-informed leader who thrives under pressure, communicates with clarity, and brings a solution-focused mindset to complex challenges. You hold high expectations for young people and possess a deep understanding of how trauma and SEMH needs impact learning and behaviour.
As a vital part of Norfolk's Alternative Provision Strategy, our base provides targeted support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and re-engage with education. In this role, you won't just manage daily operations - you will act as a trusted anchor for students, families, and staff, building an environment rooted in equity, high expectations, and belonging.
Closing date: 9am Monday 16 November 2026
Interviews: Tuesday 24 November 2026
We reserve the right to end the vacancy and interview before the advertised closing date, so early applications are encouraged.
Please note that it is normal practice to appoint to the bottom of the scale.
