An established industry player is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join their dedicated team in Bolton. This role focuses on supporting SEMH students, providing a nurturing environment where small class sizes allow for personalized attention. A qualified Science Teacher (MPS or UPS) is required at an alternative provision catering to SEMH students from September. This provision seeks to recruit a Science Teacher with recent experience in a PRU, Alternative Provision, SEN School (SEMH), or Mainstream School with students facing behavioural challenges. Class sizes are smaller than in mainstream schools, enabling you to build strong rapport quickly with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Teaching & Behavioural support staff are welcoming, supportive, and dedicated. Students attending have diagnoses including SEMH & Behavioural difficulties, with all holding Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
You should have strong SEN experience (SEMH/EBD/challenging behaviour) and preferably experience teaching students with EHCPs. A robust STEM background as a Science Teacher is essential. You must be able to plan, deliver, and mark engaging, creative lessons, providing regular feedback to students.
