TimePlan Education is recruiting a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school near Ely on a long-term basis. You will support primary students with learning and emotional development in a safe, structured environment.

This role offers a long-term path with potential to become permanent, competitive pay, and ongoing support from your dedicated TimePlan consultant in a specialist SEMH setting.

Formación

• Previous experience in SEMH or similar setting is highly desirable.
• Care or youth work background encouraged.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and emotional resilience.
• Ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
• Genuine interest in helping young people reach their potential.

Responsabilidades

• Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis with learning and emotional development.
• Help manage challenging behaviour consistently and calmly.
• Encourage engagement, motivation, and positive outcomes in and out of the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals.
