Overview

A friendly and diverse Secondary School in Westminster is searching for a SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join their friendly, supportive, and successful team. This role will begin ASAP, supporting pupils across KS3, KS4 and KS5 with students requiring additional support due to various SEND/SEMH needs.

Base pay range — This range is provided by EdEx - Education Recruitment. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to pupils with SEND and/or Social Inclusion needs
  • Work alongside a supportive, friendly, and determined inclusion staff
  • Facilitate the differentiation of tasks for students
  • Work with small groups or individual students on specific tasks
  • Engage with high-quality and bespoke CPD provided
  • Support an outgoing graduate ready for the next stage of their career
  • Be hardworking, committed, and excited to help all pupils flourish
  • Demonstrate flexibility, open-mindedness, and strong communication skills
  • Show genuine passion for working in education
  • Possess experience or awareness of young people with possible barriers to learning
Qualifications and characteristics
  • Psychology graduates or related fields interested in Education, Therapy, Psychological Research, Mental Health, Speech and Language, and related areas
  • Genuine interest in pursuing a career in education
  • Hardworking, reliable, and able to work effectively with pupils across KS3–KS5
  • Ability to work within an inclusion team and with teachers and SLT
