Job summary

Charfield Primary School in Wotton-Under-Edge seeks an Inclusion Support Assistant to help pupils who struggle with engagement. You will deliver targeted activities, support with transitions, and aid staff and families with strategies to promote inclusion and SEMH support.

Reporting to the SENDCo, you will contribute to learning plans, maintain records, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure safeguarding and accurate progress reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SEMH needs and delivering 1:1/group activities.
  • Knowledge of de-escalation strategies.
  • Excellent literacy and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with ICT incl. MS Office & Google Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and CPD.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver learning activities to individuals or groups.
  • Support 1:1, group, or in-class interventions to meet targets.
  • Work with SLT to develop specialist engagement plans.
  • Plan, prepare and resource learning environments.
  • Maintain school records and provide progress reports.
  • Collaborate with families, staff and external partners.
  • Promote inclusion and adhere to safeguarding policies.
  • Assist with break-time supervision.
