Job description

Job Title: Humanities Teacher (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities School)

Location: Tyldesley, United Kingdom

Salary: £150-£200 per day (Dependent on Experience)

Our SEND School in Tyldesley is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Humanities Teacher to join our team starting ASAP. We are committed to providing an inclusive education for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and we are looking for a qualified teacher who shares our vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Humanities lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and promotes social and emotional development.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to education and support for our students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and external agencies to provide updates on student progress and maintain strong partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification in the UK.
  • Specialization or experience in teaching Humanities subjects (History, Geography, or Religious Studies) at the secondary level.
  • Familiarity with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and an understanding of effective teaching strategies for diverse learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEND.

Salary and Benefits:
