Prospero Teaching in South Tyneside is seeking a SEMH Tutor for KS3/4 to deliver English and Maths tuition to students facing SEMH challenges in community venues and other settings.

In-person tuition is required, with ongoing roles starting April 2026. You will work to support emotional, social, and behavioural needs while tracking progress and providing feedback to families. QTS and DBS checks are essential for this role.

Prospero Teaching is working closely with Schools in the South Tyneside Area to provide specialist, one-to-one tuition and SEMH support for local students. We are currently recruiting qualified Tutors to deliver English and Maths tuition to students who may need additional support to achieve their potential.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Tutors to support students who may be experiencing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges. Many learners may not be fully engaged with mainstream education and benefit from personalised tuition that combines academic support with SEMH strategies.

Tuition is delivered in person, which may take place in:

• Community venues
• Alternative provision settings
• Occasionally, students' home environments

Position Details

• Pay rate: Competitive, dependent on qualifications and experience
