Job summary

Linq Recruitment Specialists are seeking a Qualified English Teacher for a nurturing SEMH school in Wythenshawe. You will deliver engaging KS3/KS4 English to SEMH pupils, adapting lessons for individual needs and managing challenging behaviours with positive strategies.

You will work with two Teaching Assistants and HLTA, using EHCP targets to support academic and personal development, building strong relationships and a calm classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEMH pupils and challenging behaviours.
• Experience delivering English to KS3/KS4.
• Ability to integrate EHCP targets into teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons to KS3/KS4 pupils with SEMH and additional needs.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Confidently manage and respond to challenging behaviours using positive strategies.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and maintain a calm classroom environment.
• Integrate EHCP targets into teaching and support students' academic and personal development.
