Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentors to support children and young people across various locations in London. You will help pupils develop confidence, improve behaviour, build relationships and work toward personal and educational goals.

The role may involve 1:1 or small-group support within schools, alternative provisions or specialist settings. Ongoing professional development and support will be provided by Prospero Teaching.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience working with children or young people in a school, alternative provision, youth work, residential care, sports coaching, mentoring, or similar setting.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, ASD, ADHD, or other additional needs is desirable
• Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Youth Work, Health & Social Care, Sports Coaching, or equivalent are desirable but not essential
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable but not essential as training can be provided)

Responsibilities

• Support pupils who may display challenging behaviours and SEMH needs to engage positively with education.
• Work on a 1:1 basis or in small groups within schools, alternative provisions or specialist settings.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment and act as a positive role model for pupils.
