Job summary

Cover People are seeking a calm, patient Teaching Assistant to support a primary pupil with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis at a Salford school.

You will build trust, gently guide learning activities with the teacher, and help the pupil manage emotions while promoting confidence and positive relationships. This role requires empathy, consistency, and a collaborative approach with school staff.

Qualifications

• Has experience supporting children with SEMH needs or behaviours that require additional support.
• Remains calm and consistent in challenging situations.
• Brings patience, empathy and a positive approach.
• Has experience in education, youth work, care or a similar setting.
