Job summary

Broad Horizons Trust in Great Yarmouth is seeking a 1:1 Education and Care Support Worker for Bure Park Specialist Academy. The role is term-time plus 6 weeks, 37 hours per week, with a fixed scale and guaranteed progression.

You will support two pupils with SEMH needs, delivering lessons and activities that engage them and raise their social and emotional progress. Experience with SEMH and challenging behaviour, a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• ability to plan weekly timetables and deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Capacity to measure social and emotional progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons in a fun and engaging way.
• Devise activities to build pupils' cultural capital.
• Plan weekly timetable and monitor progress (academic and social/emotional).
• Coordinate with outside agencies involved with pupils.
• Carry out the duties of a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
