Job summary

Savant Recruitment Experts is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join an enterprise AI and knowledge transformation programme. You will design and optimise the enterprise knowledge layer to make information discoverable and usable by AI agents.

You will work at the intersection of data science, information retrieval, semantic search and AI, focusing on how knowledge is represented, retrieved and evaluated.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Data Science, AI, search or knowledge-based environments.
• Experience with Information Retrieval (IR).
• Familiarity with embedding models and semantic search techniques.
• Ability to design, implement and evaluate retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimise enterprise knowledge and retrieval capabilities.
• Develop and improve taxonomy and semantic models for enterprise search.
• Apply metadata enrichment to boost knowledge discovery.
• Develop and optimise semantic retrieval and search relevance.
• Work with embedding models and AI techniques to improve information retrieval.
• Apply query understanding and prompt engineering techniques.
• Develop evaluation and benchmarking methods for AI and search performance.
• Analyse data and results to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Use data-driven approaches to assess quality and relevance of enterprise knowledge.
