Job summary

Fruition Group is seeking an Analytics Engineer / Data Modeller in Leeds for a 3-month contract with potential extension. The role focuses on designing and building high-performing semantic models to underpin Power BI and Microsoft Fabric reporting.

Applicants should possess deep SQL and data modelling expertise to transform complex data into clean, scalable analytical layers, supporting accurate analytics across a complex organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL development experience with complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and building semantic models and analytics layers.
• Solid understanding of data modelling for reporting and analytics.
• Experience turning business requirements into logical data solutions.
• Experience supporting Power BI reporting with underlying models.
• Exposure to Redshift / AWS Data stack is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise semantic models for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric reporting.
• Develop robust SQL-based data models transforming complex datasets into clear structures.
• Improve performance, scalability and usability of reporting datasets.
• Apply data modelling principles to create reliable analytical layers.
• Collaborate with data engineers to align models with Redshift data structures.
• Help shape how the organisation consumes data by building a trusted reporting foundation.
