We are seeking a compassionate and experienced self-employed Therapist to join our friendly team at Oxford ADHD and Autism Centre (part of the Clinical Partners Group), located on the outskirts of Oxford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with specific expertise in ADHD and Autism and will be comfortable working with both Adults and CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services).

The Therapist will provide comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals diagnosed with autism and ADHD, including related conditions. You will support children, young people and adults by conducting hour-long therapeutic sessions, either face-to-face or remotely and develop individualised treatment plans with a focus on delivering therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop individual treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and strengths of each patient. These plans should incorporate evidence-based interventions, set specific goals and outline strategies for managing symptoms and improving overall functioning.
  • Provide a variety of therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), social skills training, and psychoeducation, to help clients manage their symptoms. Offer ongoing support and guidance to families, helping them to understand the condition and implement effective strategies at home.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of all patient interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Ensure that all documentation complies with legal and ethical standards and is securely stored to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Engage in regular communications and collaboration with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, paediatricians, and occupational therapists to co-ordinate care and ensure that all aspects of the client’s health and well-being needs are addressed.
  • Provide flexible therapy options, including both remote and in-person sessions, to accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of our patients.
  • Offer specialised support to individuals across the lifespan of patients who have been diagnosed with ADHD and/or autism, addressing co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression and learning disabilities and tailoring interventions to the developmental stage and specific challenges of each patient.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Accredited by a professional association (such as the BACP, UKCP, BPC, ACP)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting working with children, adolescents, and families
