I am looking for a self-employed support worker to help me in the community and at home. Must have PBS (positive behaviour support) training. I am 22 years old, love music, dancing, walking, playing board games, swimming, cycling, word search, computer games, and iPad. I am learning piano and enjoy road maps. I am working towards returning to college and enjoy my café job. I have autism, which makes communication and following instructions challenging. However, I am good at navigation, maths, building rail tracks, and seeking independence with support.

Applicants will receive basic training. The role involves supporting me through activities outlined in my diary, including fun days out. A clean driving license is desirable. All Covid appliances applicable.

Requirements:
  • Enthusiastic, caring individual willing to learn and provide excellent support for daily living skills.
  • Experience working with young adults and autism.
  • Training in Positive Behaviour Support therapy.
  • Enjoys sports like swimming, tennis, football, social outings, and meeting friends.
  • Patient, reliable, fun, active, and understanding.
  • Full DBS required.
Hours:

Up to 20 hours per week, including some weekday evenings, 4 hours on Saturday, flexible based on candidate availability.

£15.50 per hour
