Job summary

D4PS Couriers & Logistics LTD is hiring for a full-time, on-site self-employed courier driver in Carlisle. You will collect parcels from local depots and client locations, plan routes, and ensure timely, secure deliveries to homes and businesses.

You will communicate with dispatch, use handheld devices for confirmations, and manage your own schedule under agreed hours. Applicants should hold a valid UK driving licence, have access to a reliable vehicle, and carry appropriate business insurance.

Qualifications

• Background in food & beverage or similar fast-paced service environment is beneficial.
• Valid UK driving licence, access to a reliable vehicle, and suitable business insurance.
• Good knowledge of Carlisle and surrounding areas or strong navigation using maps and GPS.
• Ability to handle parcels safely, work independently, and meet daily delivery targets.
• Right to work in the UK and compliance with transport regulations.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Carlisle for self-employed courier drivers / owner drivers. In this role, you will collect parcels from local depots and client locations, plan and follow delivery routes, and ensure timely and secure delivery of goods to residential and business addresses. You will maintain clear communication with dispatch, use handheld devices or apps for route management and delivery confirmation, and provide professional customer service at each drop-off and collection. You are responsible for the safe operation and basic upkeep of your vehicle, accurate documentation, and adherence to all road safety regulations and company delivery procedures. As a self-employed driver, you will manage your schedule within agreed working hours and coordinate with the company to meet service-level expectations.
