Job summary

Engage Services, part of the Marston Holdings Group, is seeking a Commercial Specialist in a self-employed, field-based role across the UK. The role offers a starting daily rate of £150+ for the initial 4 weeks, moving to a fees-only structure with an OTE of £200+ per day.

Responsibilities include visiting water customers, collecting payments, verifying leases, and when needed, performing temporary disconnections or reconnections, with full training and ongoing support provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict management skills.
• Strong planning, problem solving and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams and clients.
• Experience in enforcement, debt recovery or customer-facing field roles is highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

• Visit commercial water customers on behalf of major water retail clients.
• Obtain payments for arrears and verify lease agreements for new occupiers.
• Perform temporary disconnections or reconnections of water supply if required.
• Engage with customers to resolve their accounts and provide updates to clients.

Fees & Benefits

• Starting daily rate: £150+ for the first 4 weeks, followed by a fees-only structure with an OTE of £200+ per day.
• Flexible working arrangement: A minimum commitment of 2 weekdays per week, at 8 hours per day, with the freedom to select your preferred working days.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Commercial Specialist Duties

• Visiting commercial water customers on behalf of major water retail clients
• Obtaining payments for arrears, verifying lease agreements for new occupiers
• Performing a temporary disconnection or reconnection of the water supply, if required!
• Interacting with the customer to resolve their account

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
• ULEZ-compliant vehicle (for London assignments)
• Clean DBS
• Satisfactory credit history (CCJs accepted where repayment arrangements exist)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and reporting abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams and clients
• Understanding of energy, utilities, or enforcement operations is advantageous
• Experience in enforcement, security, debt recovery, or other customer-facing and field-based roles requiring negotiation, resilience, and professionalism is highly desirable.
