Speciality:

Hours: ½ Day per week (3.25 Hours)
Salary: Soulbury A 2-7 + 3 possible SPAs
£45,586 - £55,974 – pro rata is £4,558 - £5,597 (10% of full time)

  1. To assist in the delivery of Educational Psychology Services to children in Welsh-medium schools and their families, providing psychological support and advice through Welsh.
  2. To use psychology to support Merthyr Tydfil Local Authority in meeting the needs of children and young people and fulfilling statutory obligations.
  3. To assist in identifying strengths and difficulties of children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and advise on appropriate provision.
  4. To lead in assisting schools, teachers, parents, and partner agencies with ALN reform.
  5. To deliver interventions, including therapeutic work and training as needed.
  6. To assist in research promoting positive, evidence-based practices within the LA.

Professional supervision and CPD will be provided by the EPS.
