Job Description:

Soulbury Educational Psychologist Scale A points 2-7 (£44,474 - £54,609 per annum pro rata) + 3 possible SPAs.

To assist in delivering Educational Psychology Services to children in Welsh-medium schools and their families, providing psychological support and advice through the medium of Welsh.

Utilize psychology to help Merthyr Tydfil Local Authority meet the needs of children and young people and fulfill statutory obligations.

Identify strengths and difficulties of children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and advise on appropriate provision.

Lead in assisting schools, teachers, parents, and partner agencies regarding ALN reform.

Deliver interventions, including therapeutic work and training.

Contribute to research to promote evidence-based practice within the LA.

Professional supervision and CPD will be provided by the EPS.
