Job description

We are looking for a seasonal worker to join our busy seed processing team from August through October 2025.

We are a family-owned firm with locations near Ashford, Kent. This role is based at our seed plant, which processes approximately 3,500-4,000 tonnes of seed annually. Recent investments include a Sataki Colour Sorter, pre-cleaner, and automation equipment.

The core responsibilities include supporting our main operator by setting up, calibrating, bagging, and cleaning equipment. Additional duties involve working with our mixing facilities to produce environmental seed mixes, loading and unloading, and general yard duties and maintenance. We undertake many engineering tasks ourselves, so if you enjoy fabrication, you'll have plenty of opportunities. During peak season, we operate 12-hour days from Monday to Friday and half-day Saturdays.

The candidate should:

1. Be fit and strong
2. Have very good attention to detail
3. Be willing to work long hours during the busy autumn season
4. Have some agricultural experience
5. Ideally hold tickets to operate telehandlers and forklifts, although this is not essential

Accommodation is provided, featuring a private bedroom, dining, and sitting areas. Shared shower and toilet facilities are available. A car can be provided for short journeys. The location is conveniently next to a pub offering good food and drinks.
