Seed Division Manager

AGRILAND FS is looking for a sales and strategy driven Seed Division Manager. This individual will be responsible for leading the Seed Department to consistent, profitable sales growth.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Provide marketing and sales leadership for the District Seed Sales Specialists, Crop Specialists, and location teams.
2. Work closely with Agronomy Sales Managers to develop seed strategies and best practices that will be predictive of seed growth and success.
3. Lead implementation of all seed strategies and programs to meet objectives.
4. Provide proactive leadership for training/developmental plans that improves marketing effectiveness and serves as foundation for seed sales across the sales team.
5. Establish seed performance standards, goals and development/implementation of business plans for achieving company financial objectives.
6. Identify and implement best practices which lead to strong financial performance and outstanding customer service.
7. Provide input for company seed marketing, operational, business and procurement strategies and program development.
8. Assist in providing technical information for agronomy, seed sales and marketing.

What we need from you:

1. Bachelor's degree in Agronomy Business or equivalent thereof, plus 5-7 years' sales experience
2. Sales and leadership experience
3. Knowledge of seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products
4. Knowledge of market analysis, pricing strategies, and supply forecasts
5. Sales leadership and knowledge of closing techniques
6. Ability to build relationships, identify producer needs and make multi-product proposals
7. Planning, time management and organizational skills
8. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Require overnight travel on a limited basis
9. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds as needed
