Job summary

ABM in Oxford is looking for an experienced Security Supervisor to lead the security team and uphold robust security policies for a safe shopping environment. The role focuses on establishing and enforcing procedures, staff development, and strong client relations.

Key duties include coordinating HR responsibilities for the security team, managing attendance, rosters, inductions, and performance reviews, plus ensuring safety and incident response readiness. A proactive leader will thrive here.

Qualifications

• SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor license is essential.
• SIA CCTV license or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience leading a security team in a similar environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
• Experience in incident response and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the Soft Services Manager in operational HR responsibilities to recruit, retain and develop the security team.
• Manage staff attendance & absence records in conjunction with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure rota is up to date and manpower coverage is maintained and all team members complete required shifts and duty hours as detailed on the duty rota.
• Deliver to all new starters a formal induction and site-specific training.
• Ensure objectives, performance reviews and Toolbox Talks are completed as per company policy.
• Identify training needs and ensure accurate site records are always maintained.
• Support the Soft Services Manager to ensure the necessary security audits are undertaken and any non-compliance highlighted and managed to completion.
• Manage excellent relationships with our client, our suppliers, and other partners.
• Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies including fire, ensuring the Centre team are kept fully always informed.
• Lead the Security Team when dealing with incidents.
• Support and provide guidance to other site based/centre staff.
• Liaise closely with statutory authorities, dealing with incidents and the provision of information.
