Job summary

SER Limited is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to cover Basingstoke, Reading, Oxford, Slough, Woking and West Berkshire. You will install, service and maintain CCTV, intruder alarms and access control across commercial sites, with a company that backs engineers with tools, training and support.

Role involves independent on-site work, fault-finding, and small works. A 1-in-5 call-out rota and a competitive package including a company vehicle are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer.
• Strong technical experience across CCTV, intruder alarms and/or access control.
• Solid installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with Axis, Hanwha, Galaxy, Texecom and Paxton would be advantageous.
• A professional, customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing and maintaining CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems.
• Carrying out fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs.
• Completing small works, upgrades, modifications and system expansions.
• Working with security systems across commercial and private sites.
• Supporting high-profile clients and documenting service work.
• Managing workload and on-site tasks independently, with team support.
• Participating in a 1-in-5 call-out rota, with standby allowance.
