Job summary

KHR Recruitment Specialists are seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer to install, commission and maintain intruder alarm and CCTV systems across London and the Home Counties. The role is hands-on, with travel to client sites and an 8:00am–5:00pm schedule.

Salary £40,000-£50,000 plus £5,000 on-call allowance; a company van and equipment are provided, with 28 days of annual leave and ongoing technical development opportunities.

Security Systems Engineer

Covering London & Home Counties

KHR Recruitment are currently working with an established and growing security systems company who are looking for an experienced Installation Engineer to join their close-knit team.

This is a hands-on role focused on the installation, commissioning and maintenance of intruder alarm and CCTV systems, working across London and the Home Counties.

The role would ideally suit an engineer with 5+ years' experience within the electronic security industry, although candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong technical ability, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn will also be considered.

The Role

• Install, commission and service professional intruder alarm systems
• Install and configure CCTV systems
• Carry out system testing, commissioning and customer handovers
• Install and commission systems connected to monitoring stations
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults on site
• Manage installations independently from start to finish
• Work alongside other engineers on larger or more complex projects
• Maintain a professional approach when working on customer premises
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Maintain and look after company vehicle and equipment

Technical Experience

Strong experience with professional intruder alarm systems is required.

• Ideally has 5+ years' experience in the electronic security industry
• Strong practical installation and commissioning experience
• Experience with intruder alarms and CCTV
• Confident working independently and managing jobs from start to finish
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Takes pride in the quality of their work
• Professional and confident dealing with customers
• Works well as part of a small team
• Positive attitude and a willingness to continue developing their skills
• Holds a full UK driving licence
• Comfortable travelling throughout London and the Home Counties

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Engineers are expected to be on site and ready to start work at 8:00am. Due to the nature of the role, travel across London and the Home Counties is required. Additional payments are made where extended working days are caused by travel.

On-Call

There is a one-week-in-eight on-call rota, which attracts an additional £5,000 per annum.
