Job summary

Kingdom Services Group Ltd is recruiting a professional Security Officer for a site in Selby (YO8 area). You will provide a visible security presence, safeguarding staff and visitors while supporting site operations.

Hours average 40 per week with shifts across days, nights and weekends; pay is £14.18 per hour. The role requires valid SIA licences (Door Supervisor and CCTV) and a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid SIA licences (Door Supervisor and CCTV).
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Proven security experience with gatehouse and CCTV duties.
• Strong written reporting and observation skills.
• Flexible and able to work at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Operate gatehouse, weighbridge, and CCTV systems.
• Patrol the site and perimeter regularly and randomly.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors.
• Monitor premises and respond to incidents.
• Complete accurate reports and observations.
• Carry out vehicle and foot patrols, mobile patrols.
• Support site operations and management when required.
• Manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Security Officer

Location: Selby (YO8 area)

Pay: £14.18 per hour

Hours: Average 40 hours per week (as per rota)

Shifts: 06:00–18:00 / 18:00–06:00 (Days, Nights & Weekends) plus Monday–Friday 06:00–14:00 / 10:00–18:00

Requirement: Must hold valid SIA licences and have own vehicle with full UK driving licence

About The Role

Kingdom Group is looking for a professional and reliable Security Support Officer to join our team at a site in the Selby area. This is a varied and dynamic role where you will provide a strong and visible security presence, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment while supporting site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating gatehouse, weighbridge, and CCTV systems
• Conducting regular and random patrols of the site and perimeter
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors
• Monitoring premises and responding to incidents and emergencies
• Completing accurate reports and recording observations
• Carrying out vehicle searches, mobile patrols, and foot patrols
• Supporting site operations and management when required
• Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally

What We’re Looking For

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
• Valid SIA CCTV Licence (essential)
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Proven experience in security, including gatehouse and CCTV duties
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good IT skills
• Excellent attention to detail and observation skills
• Knowledge of site security procedures and public safety
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports
• Flexible approach and available at short notice
