Job Description

ASOS is recruiting for an Offensive Security Specialist within the SOC. This role will report into the SOC and IR Manager. The role involves leading offensive security assessments to strengthen defence capabilities, identifying security weaknesses, validating detection mechanisms, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance security posture. Responsibilities include threat hunting, penetration testing, red teaming, collaboration with defensive teams, developing security strategies, endpoint monitoring, malware analysis, process development, mentoring juniors, and maintaining awareness of cyber threats. The role requires participation in an on-call rota for security incidents.

Qualifications
  • Relevant industry certifications such as GPEN, OSCP, OSCE, CRTO, CRTP, PNPT, and experience with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND
  • Experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, and red team methodologies
  • Ability to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of creating detection signatures and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs)
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft’s security stack
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development
On-Call Requirements
  • Availability for on-call shifts on a 4-week rota basis to respond to security emergencies
